The importance of performing well on the Standardized Tests (SAT, ACT, PSAT to name a few) for college admissions can never be emphasized enough. A student's SAT score can make a significant impact on their college application and can often be the deciding factor between acceptance and rejection. A student with a high SAT score is a desirable candidate for many top-tier universities and can even increase their chances of receiving merit scholarships, grants, and other forms of financial aid. At Sky Admission, our experienced tutors help students prepare for the SAT by developing personalized study plans to maximize their score improvements.
Our Intensive 20-Week Premium Prep (SAT) is tailored to meet the needs of students whose Verbal section scores, including Reading and Writing and Language, fall within the low to mid-600s. It is specifically designed to provide a strategic and comprehensive approach to prepare students for the Reading section of the SAT. Over the course of 20 weeks (during a non-summer semester), students will practice the following:
Understand the format: Familiarize yourself with the format of the Reading section, which consists of 52 multiple-choice questions based on five passages. The passages include a variety of genres, such as literature, social studies, and science.
Practice active reading: Focus on active reading techniques, such as highlighting key ideas, taking notes, and summarizing each paragraph. This will help you retain the information better and answer questions more accurately.
Work on time management: The Reading section is timed, so practice managing your time effectively. Allocate a specific amount of time to read each passage and answer questions, and try to stick to that schedule during practice tests.
Build vocabulary: Enhance your vocabulary by reading widely and using flashcards or other vocabulary-building tools. This will help you understand unfamiliar words and phrases in the passages.
Review and analyze your mistakes: After each practice test, review the questions you answered incorrectly and analyze your mistakes. Identify patterns and areas where you need improvement and adjust your study plan accordingly.
Take timed practice tests: Practice taking timed practice tests regularly to get a feel for the actual test and develop your test-taking skills.
Our Intensive Summer SAT Bootcamp can be a highly effective way for students to prepare for the exam and improve their chances of admission to their desired colleges. The program is designed with the following benefits for students in mind:

Enhanced confidence: By the end of the Summer Bootcamp, students often feel more confident in their SAT skills, which can lead to better performance on test day.
Performing well on AP exams can offer numerous benefits for high school students, including college credit, a competitive advantage in the college admissions process, college readiness, improved GPA, and personal growth. Our experienced tutors prep students for the "perfect 5" with the following benefits in mind:
College credit: Many colleges and universities offer college credit or advanced standing to students who earn high scores on AP exams. This can help students save time and money on college tuition and graduate earlier.
Competitive advantage: Earning high scores on AP exams can make students more competitive in the college admissions process. It demonstrates a student's academic ability and readiness for college-level work.
College readiness: AP courses and exams are designed to prepare students for the rigor of college-level coursework. By taking AP courses and earning high scores on exams, students can feel more prepared and confident for college.
Improved GPA: Earning high scores on AP exams can also positively impact a student's high school GPA. Many high schools weight AP grades more heavily than regular grades, which can boost a student's overall GPA.
Personal growth: AP courses and exams provide students with opportunities to challenge themselves academically and develop critical thinking and analytical skills. This can help students grow personally and intellectually, and prepare them for future academic and career success.
